Sponsor one of our Residents

Sponsor one of Horsewyse’s Ponies or Horses.

Choose from one of our loveable residents below – these include our sensory experts, connection work stars, ground work gems, and charming characters.

Click on each resident’s profile to learn more about them.

Harrison

Small but Mighty Harrison (aka Harry) loves being the center of attention - going for walks beside the big cobs, being groomed and pampered, and getting lots of cuddles and kisses from all the children. Harry may be small, but he’s got a big personality.

PJ

PJ is most definitely food orientated - any human who has a treat with them, has a friend for life in him.

PJ is fantastic at teaching his riders patience and understanding. Cuddles and food are what make this pony tick.

Pumpkin

Pumpkin doesn't like the feel of a saddle much, but loves pulling our cart (especially with child passengers) and hearing voices around him.

He is a star at connection work and always up for a cuddle with both children and adults alike.

Dolly

Like her namesake, Dolly is our resident diva - she must always be the first served, or she'll soon let you know how offended she is that she was left behind.

She loves the cuddles and attention that come with her superstar persona.

Princess

Baby of the herd, Princess is only 2 years old and too young to be ridden yet. However, she is fast learning connection work and loves being groomed and pampered.

Don’t let her pretty looks fool you, she will insist on being treated like her namesake - an absolute princess.

Koko

Whilst Koko is the oldest of the herd, she definitely doesn’t act like it, and puts her experience to good use. It’s true that she has her moody moments, however she will instantly be your best friend if you have a treat for her (and if you’re lucky, she may even flash you a big smile).

Patrick

Locally known for his amazing sensory work with children and adults, Patrick stands out from the crowd with his beautiful, mismatched eyes and fabulous moustache.

Patient and loving, Patrick has the time for anyone and everyone.

Poppet

Poppet is wonderfully patient with children, walks beautifully on a lead rein, and knows when to stop if her riders need to adjust their seat.

She may be a little sassy and give a cold shoulder if she is not feeling up to hugs, but she is generally very well behaved and loves connection work

Non Sponsor/Livery Horses

As well as our equine therapy horses/ponies, Horsewyse is home to some private liveries.

Why sponsor one of our residents?

By sponsoring a horse or pony you’re helping us continue to provide equine therapy and sensory work to children and young people in need. This includes children and young people with a variety of learning, behavioural, and social difficulties, and mental health concerns. Sponsorship also helps us continues to provide support for the families, carers, and teachers of young people and children. It costs us an average of £3,000 a year to look after just one our four-legged therapists and we are primarily reliant on the generosity of our amazing supporters.

You can sponsor a resident for yourself or choose to share the joy by giving the gift of sponsorship to a loved one – whichever you choose our horses and ponies will be forever grateful.

We can also offer Special Sponsorships – these are designed for organisations, schools, or groups who want to make a lasting contribution to support the much needed work of Horsewyse CIC. To enquire about Special Sponsorships please contact info@horsewyse.org.uk or socialmedia@horsewyse.org.uk
